Well that’s probably one of the longest car names I have seen in a while. Let’s just repeat that again it’s the Abarth 695 Tributo Maserati. In a British accent it sounds like a code name for a fancy jacuzzi but you can be sure it sounds cool in an Italian accent.
Fiat made a Ferrari tribute before with the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari so no prizes for guessing what this new variant is a tribute to.
The Ferrari tribute did not leave you with much change from £30,000 so we expect this Maser tribute will be much the same. So what does your money get you?
Well, it comes with the standard 180hp 1.4 turbo engine but you get some fancy exhausts with a valve that allows you to control the volume, upgraded suspension (which presumably means it has some travel unlike the standard Abarth) some fancy Maserati alloys with some big Brembo brakes hiding behind them.
Inside the Abarth has some fancy leather seats, a matt carbon dashboard and some other shiny tat sprinkled around the cabin.
Oh and it comes with some bags too.
Is too expensive? Yes.
Ridiculous even? Yes.
But it’s less offensive than an Aston Martin Cygnet? Correct.
